Hello! I am the new front-end digital designer at Zest

After a fun-packed day of meeting, greeting and reading the handbook (such a good read!) I’m finally inducted. Hi, I’m Lloyd Sutton and I am the new front-end digital designer at Zest.

Back in 2008 I headed off to Bournemouth University to study Business Information Technology and start a career in web and business. Three years in, I found myself back in Oxford, my home, working as a junior front-end designer at a small web design company. Another year later, and with a degree and some extra letters added to my name, I was back working with local companies to develop bespoke and engaging sites – only this time without the junior prefix.

In the space of a year I had worked with a range of exciting websites, from Oxford’s leading golf club Frilford Heath to global landscape and location photographer, Pete Seaward.

As the company developed so did my position. I moved from a creative designer to working more closely with the internal team and clients to project manage and deliver software systems. A year and a half later, I was really starting to miss that creative side of my role, and this is when I became aware of Zest.

I have always been a big fan of understanding where you are trying to go before you start out on a journey. With this in mind, Zest’s goal-focused ethos seemed like the perfect fit. When the opportunity arose to join the team as a front-end digital designer I leapt at it. Having only been here one day, I can already feel that the ethos and culture is something that I will really appreciate and savor.

Alongside my love for design I am a keen digital photographer. I also travel to the coast when I get the chance, where I enjoy surfing and rock climbing.

So that’s all about me. Now it’s for me to roll up my sleeves and get back to doing what I love.
